Empire Rocked!

April 26th, 2007

Last week, the foundation rocked The Big Apple ! We climbed 1576 steps inside the Empire State Building in 28 minutes. James Chippendale introduced The Love Hope Strength Foundation and its global mission and upcoming events to the press. Gibson guitars presented Mike Peters and the boys their custom guitars for Everest Rocks. And then they rocked the Empire with some great tunes. It was a day to remember.
And after meeting some of my fellow trekkers, I know I’m in for an adventure of a lifetime.
I want to thank my family and friends for all of your support and generosity. It means so much to me and I feel truly blessed!

With love hope and strength, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

xoxo,
Rini

Thank You From Sean

Hi everyone!   I cannot thank you all enough for visiting our website and supporting Everest Rocks.  Many of my friends and family members over the years have fought very difficult battles against cancer and Leukemia, and this event is just one of the ways I feel like I can make a difference.   All of your support goes to one objective - finding a cure for cancer.  Please check out the rest of the website and spread the word to help us raise awareness and funds for cancer research.  If you decide to support me, please send me an e-mail with your home address info to mooreviking@yahoo.com.

I am dedicating this trek to my Uncle Ron, who died from cancer on Thanksgiving Day 4 year ago.  Everytime I saw my Uncle Ron when I was growing up, he would always go out of his way to come over and shake my hand…. And every single time we shook hands, he would pretend like we were stuck together and he wouldn’t let go!  It was the craziest, most entertaining thing for me as a little kid to have such a fun uncle…  So now, of course, I pull his trick on all my little cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Thank you

I cannot say thank you enough to all of you for supporting Everest Rocks. It is still hard to believe that I am a part of this amazing foundation and event. After getting over the shock that Ryan was diagnosed with cancer, we could do nothing but step back and pray that the surgeries and treatments would be enough. It is such a feeling of helplessness when the people you love are sick and you can do nothng for them but support them.

Ryan continues to be my hero for battling the disease without complaint. He never showed any doubt that he would beat it. I firmly believe that his stubborness and humor won half the battle. I was so impressed when Erin did the Livestrong Challenge last year to raise funds for the research that saved Ryan and countless others. I have been wanting to do my part, biking just is not my thing! I then heard about Love Hope Strength from friends Vince Abrue and Sean Moore and knew I had found the perfect way to get involved in cancer research. So here we go! If anyone wants to come to Denver and be my Sherpa while I train in the Rockies, my door is always open!!!! I could use the company!!!
