My Mum was diagnosed with cancer of the kidney just before her 80th birthday,
the operation went well but there where some complications afterwards, she suffered a stroke & has been paralysed down her right side for 3 years she’s an inspiration to all with her determination to recover enough so she could become well so she could cope again at home with the aid of a helper going in regularly each day, she’s just suffered a little set back, please remember her in your prayers.
I have been following everyone’s progress since I received an email from Jim telling me of this big endeavor. Quite the outing you have all had!! I know that you have absolutely no idea who I am, but your journal really hit it on the head for me. No cancer in my immediate family, but life can be tough all the same at times. I felt that I was at a crossroad - sink or swim - when I started following everyone’s trek up the mountain. It may sound lame, but it helped nudge me in the right direction!! So while you were all climbing a mountain, you also helped another across the world keep on trekkin! Reminded me how precious life is and how there is so much more in life to experience.
